Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 29, 2026
Peptide AI ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use Peptide AI, you may voluntarily provide health-related data including:
- Dosing schedules and injection logs
- Weight and body measurements
- Side effect notes and symptom journals
- Personal goals and preferences
This data is stored locally on your device by default. If you choose to create an account, your data may be synced to our secure servers to enable backup and cross-device access.
Automatically Collected Information
We may collect limited analytics data including:
- App usage patterns (which features you use, session duration)
- Device type and operating system version
- Crash reports and performance data
This data is used to improve app quality, performance, reliability, and product decisions. We use service providers such as PostHog to help process analytics and product telemetry. We do not intentionally use analytics tools to link routine product analytics to your health entries for advertising purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the app's core functionality
- Generate personalized insights from your logged data
- Improve and optimize the app experience
- Diagnose technical issues and bugs
AI Features and Third-Party AI Providers
Some optional features in Peptide AI use third-party AI services to generate the result you request. Our current providers include OpenRouter and Groq. When requests are routed through OpenRouter, the underlying model provider may also process the request content, such as Google for Gemini models.
Examples of optional AI-powered features include:
- Body composition and progress photo analysis
- Voice-powered logging and transcript parsing
We only send the content needed to provide the specific AI feature the user chooses to use. Depending on the feature, that content may include:
- Progress photos or photo-derived content submitted for analysis
- Voice recordings, transcripts, or transcript-derived structured data
- User-entered messages, prompts, and recent conversation context
- Related health and tracking context needed to generate a useful response, such as medication logs, weight entries, symptom notes, preferences, or recent activity
For voice logging autofill, Peptide AI asks for permission in the app before any transcript or related logging context is sent to Groq. If you do not grant permission, your voice transcript is not sent to Groq and you can continue using manual logging instead.
For photo-analysis features, Peptide AI only sends the specific photos and related health-tracking context needed to generate the requested result after you choose to use that feature and submit the content for processing.
We do not send your data to third-party AI providers unless you intentionally invoke an AI-powered feature and submit content for processing. We do not sell your personal data to third-party AI providers.
We require service providers we use for AI processing and app operations to handle data under contractual or platform terms designed to provide privacy and security protections at least comparable to those described in this policy.
Data Storage and Security
Health data entered into Peptide AI is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. If you opt into account-based sync, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest on our servers.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
For progress photo analysis, photos are encrypted client-side before upload, and access to encrypted progress photos is protected using keys stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your health information with third parties, except:
- When required by law or valid legal process
- With service providers who assist in app operations (under strict confidentiality obligations), such as hosting, storage, authentication, and analytics providers
- With third-party AI providers, including Groq and OpenRouter, only when needed to perform an AI feature you choose to use
- With your explicit consent
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data stored in the app
- Export your data at any time
- Delete your data and account
- Opt out of analytics collection
For voice logging autofill, you can withhold consent by declining the in-app voice parsing permission prompt. If you have privacy questions, want help withdrawing a prior AI-processing consent decision tied to your account, or want your account deleted, contact support@peptide-ai.app.
Children's Privacy
Peptide AI is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
HIPAA Disclaimer
Peptide AI is a personal health tracking tool and is not a covered entity under HIPAA. The app is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider regarding your therapy protocol.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email if you have an account. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
